Ann Gresswell
Teacher/Physiotherapist, ACE Centre Advisory Trust,
Oxford
Ann has worked at the ACE Centre for nearly two years. She
is trained as both a physiotherapist and a teacher. She enjoys combining the
skills of both these professions, assessing children with complex physical
needs who require alternative access to communication and education. Ann is the
training co-ordinator at the ACE Centre and is responsible for organising this
as well as being involved in training sessions. Her special interest of work at
the ACE Centre is literacy.
Previously Ann worked in a special school for children with
physical disabilities. She is also a lecturer for the Halliwick Association of
Swimming Therapy, involved in training teachers, therapists and volunteers who
want to teach people with disabilities to swim. Through this work Ann has
worked with disabled people of all ages and with a wide range of disabilities.
She has also met professionals interested in this work both nationally and
internationally.
