Trish Hornsey

Managing Director, Inclusive Technology

Trish Hornsey held various teaching posts from 1975 to 1987, mainly in special schools, but also supporting students with special needs being integrated into mainstream settings. In 1987, she was appointed Advisory Teacher for IT and Special Needs for Calderdale MBC. This post involved responsibility for training courses, school development planning and teacher development in the use of information technology to support learning.

In 1991, she took up an appointment with NorthWest SEMERC as Training Manager, planning and running a range of training events, from day courses to residential weekends. Subsequently her job moved into software development and publication. From 1995, when Thomas Nelson & Son acquired NorthWest SEMERC, she became Development Director. This post involved development (both in-house and through freelance and external developers) of a range of products, writing and publishing documentation, and carrying the products through to production.

Since 1991, Trish has written many publications, including magazine articles, training materials, software documentation and contributions to published books. At Inclusive Technology, as Development Director, she has been responsible for all products that the company develop or publish. In August 2001 she became Managing Director of Inclusive Technology.
